About Us
Phonotonic is an artist collective dedicated to empowering, promoting, and building community among experimental and improvising musicians who share the experience of gender-based oppression, including women, trans people, and nonbinary people. Our flagship program is a concert series which serves to highlight musicians of marginalized genders, as well as nurture connections between artists and audiences who may not otherwise encounter each other.
